An 18th Century Coromandel Wood Box. The solid coromandel box with a hinged lid, the edges finished with a rounded moulding ad slightly overhanging the body. The body with borad jointed corners. The interior fitted with a hinged lid candle box. the interior of the box with good shaped brass hinges and straps, the fixings covered to the exterior of the box with domed brass caps. The base with a protruding moulded edge, as per the lid. Complete with lock and key. Date c 1750. Height 4 1/2 inches, width 11 3/4 inches, depth 8 inches.Ref:
