A Late 18th Century Faience Tin Glazed Box. The lid of the box with a romantic scene of a lake side, with trees and flowers, a turreted tower perched on a hill side beyond. The lid enclosed in a brass collar decorated with beading and interwoven oval lattice banding. The centre with a leaf and shell opening catch. The rectangular, slightly waisted body decorated with a variety of wild flowers. The underside marked 'VP' for Veuve Perrin'. Date circa 1790. Height 1 1/2 inches, 4cm. Width 3 1/4 inches, 8cm. Depth 2 1/4 inches, 6cm.
