18TH C ROLLED PAPER CADDY

An 18th Century Rolled Paper Caddy, the hexagonal caddy with a hinged lid, mounted with an axe head handle. The lid opening to a tea compartment complete with lid, painted with an oval medalion decoration. The whole caddy applied with roll paper decoration of flowers scroll work and oval reserves. The panels held with boxwood edges, with fine rope twist chequered stringing to the edges.
