A 19th Century Cribbage Board. The interesting and attractive 19th century cribbage board inlaid with rosewood cross banding, quartered by bone corners, and enclosing the scoring panels, in bone, surrounding and divided by rarer woods such as burr maple, kingwood, holly and mulberry. The underside with a slide lidded compartment for a pair of white bone and a pair of stained bone pegs. The underside impressed for the maker G WELLS. The whole raised up on four bun feet. Date circa 1840. Height 1 1/2 inches, 4cm. Width 14 inches, 36cm. Depth 5 inches, 13cm.Ref: 22249
