A 19th century tortoise shell and mother-of-pearl inlaid tea caddy, the lid with a pagoda top veneered in panels of tortoise shell, with a central cartouche and stringing between the panels, the bow-shaped body with good floral and leaf mother-of-pearl inlays enhanced with engraving. The interior with two tea compartments, each with tortoise shell covers.
The whole caddy standing on four ball feet, and complete with lock and key.
Height 5 1/2 inches; width 7 1/2 inches; depth 4 3/4 inches.
