19TH C LABURNUM WOOD JAR & COVER

A 19th Century Laburnum Wood Jar and Cover. With a fluted ringed knob, centering the dished and ogee profile circular lid, fitting within the rim of the body. The body decorated with a concave upper banding, a finely reeded middle band, and a concave lower band. The body tapering inward and downward to a flat foot rim. Date circa 1820. Height 8 inches, 20.5cm. Diameter 7 inches, 18cm.
