A 19th Century Mahogany Miniature, Desk Top, Chest. The chest with an ogee edged top with rounded corners, the body with four long graduated drawers, each drawer mahogany lined, with fine cockbead edges, pair of neatly turned knobs, and brass keyhole inserts. The corners of the chest slightly rounded, repeating to the shape of the top, and raised plinth base. The rear finished in polished mahogany to allow the chest to stand free. Complete with locks and key. Excellent quality throughout. Date c 1840. Height 20 inches, 51 cm. Width 18 1/2 inches, 47 cm. Depth 12 inches, 31 cm.Ref: 21445
