A 19th Century Mahogany Bow Fronted Document Box. The hinged lid with sloped edges above the vertical sides, opening to an interior fitted with lift out divisions to fit into six varied positions. The bow fronted body tapering slightly to a canted edged plinth base, standing on four ball and claw brass feet.The body mounted to the sides with shell decorated ring handles. The whole inlaid with ebony strung edging. Date c 1840. Height 14 inches, width 11 1/2 inches, depth 9 inches.
