A 19th Century Mahogany Table Top Writing Cabinet. With a mould edge, and rounded corner top surface, above a working drawer and thence three blind drawers. The blind drawers disguising a hinged fall opening to a sloped velvet lined writing surface, within burr maple banding. The interior of the cabinet with an arrangement of pigeon holes and three drawers. The lower drawer fitted for a pen tray and ink wells. The whole of the interior with burr maple linings and ringed knobs, repeating the pattern of the knobs to the outer. The outer flanked by rounded column corners and standing on a conforming mould top plinth base. Date circa 1850. Height 19 1/2 inches, 50cm. Width 16 inches, 40cm.
