A Small 19th Century Tortoiseshell Box.

The rectangular box with concave sides and scallop shaping to the front and rear.  The slightly domed top opening to velvet lined interior, the lid opening with a spring button catch.  The box standing on four small compressed ball feet.

Date c 1850.

Height 2 1/4 inches, width 5 inches, depth 3 1/2 inches.
