A 19th Century Walnut Tobacco Jar. The jar with a reeded ball handle, the ball resting on a ringed socle, above the downward and outswept lid, finished with a rounded rim. The well figured rounded body tapering to a horizontal reeded spreading foot. Date c 1850. Height 9 1/2 inches, 25cm. Diameter 5 1/2 inches, 14cm.Ref:
