A good 19th Century Anglo Indian sewing box, the body decorated with quill-work panels set within ivory and ebony rails, the rails inlaid with paisley scrolls and leaf decoration. The centre of the lid inlaid with an oval panel depicting two ships in full sail approaching a headland. The interior is fitted with a lift out tray containing an arrangement of lidded compartments and sewing fittings,. The whole on four ebony ball feet.


In good condition throughout.


Height 4 1/2 inches; w 10 1/2 inches; d 8 inches.
