A George III Burr Yew Wood Tea Caddy.

The hinged lid with canted edges, decorated with boxwood and nettle line inlays, opening to the interior.  The body with a bone diamond shaped key escutcheon, the body and lid edged with kingwood crossbanding, held within bodywood stringing.

Date c 1770.
