A George III Burr Yew Wood Tea Caddy. The octagonal lid edged with boxwood and ebony stringing, above a body likewise boxwood and ebony stringing to the outer edges of each panel. The front inset with a diamond shaped key hole escutcheon. The interior with two tea compartments, complete with lids, topped by turned button handles. Date c 1780.
