A Regency tortoise shell tea caddy, the sarcophagus lid with a rectangular plague, the straight sides finished with a camped plinth mould. and mounted by an octagonal keyhole escutcheon and lock. Interior with two tea compartments, each with tortoise shell lids, mounted with ivory knob handles.

The caddy raised up on four ivory ball feet, and the underside finished with marblized paper.

The whole with good blond tortoise shell veneers, in a good varigated pattern.
