TORTOISESHELL TEA CADDY

A Mid 19th Century Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy. The slightly domed hinged lid above scallop profile front and rear sides, the two ends of concave profile. The lid opening to a tea compartment with a cover, fitted with a small knob handle. The front edge with an oval escutcheon, and the caddy standing on four small bun feet.

Date c 1850.
