A 19th Century Brass Door Porter, Door Stop. The loop handle with a ringed and waisted centre, above the shank with ring decoration, tapering outward in an elongated baluster to an orb socle. The domed base, with a band of rope twist decoration above the pentagon shaped plinth. The rear with a substantial cast iron loading following the shape of the base. Rather attractive antique patination. Date c 1850. Height 14 inches, width 6 1/2 inches, depth 3 1/4 inches.Ref: 20858
