A 19th Century Brass Door Porter, Door Stop. With a scrolled handle, meeting the baluster shaped finial of the shank. The shank with ringed decoration, finished with a ring socle, before the semi circular round and ringed spreading base. the interior with conforming cast iron loading, impressed 'W & S', with the sun mark for William Tonks & Son. Date circa 1850. Height 13 inches, 34cm. Width 6 1/4 inches, 16cm. Depth 3 1/2 inches, 9cm.Ref:
