An early 19th Century brass figure of a lion, the lion lying down looking slightly to his left and with an extravagant mane. The lion on a plinth base with diamond lattice decoration, the diamond centre with flower heads. The plinth base lower mould with cast leaf decoration. The top, on which the lion lies, lifts off to reveal circular spaces for three ink wells; the wells are missing.
H 4 inches; w 4 1/2 inches; d 2 3/4 inches.
