A 19th Century Cast Iron Lion, possibly a door porter.

The beast seated on his haunches, with his tail curled under his body. His left fore leg holding a large ball.  He looks to his right, with a somewhat quizzical face emerging from his extravagant mane.

Date c 1820.

Height 6 1/2 inches, width 7 3/4 inches, depth 4 1/.2 inches.
