A 19th Century door porter, door stop, the handle and shank formed as a rising tree bower against which sits a dog resting on his haunches on a base of foliage. The whole on a plain bowed plinth. The rear of the plinth lead-loaded to the inside-back.
H 14 1/2 inches; width of base 6 3/4 inches; depth of base 2 3/8 inches.
