19TH C ORMOLU FIGURE OF A DOG

A 19th Century Ormolu Figure of a Dog. He sits on his haunches, his long tail curved behind him, with a long coat and hanging ears, as he looks forward and slightly to his side. His jaw is sprung to act as a paper/letter holder. The whole on a rectangular marble base. Very nicely patinated ormolu. Date c 1840. Height 5 1/2 inches, width 6 1/2 inches, depth 3 1/4 inches.
