A 19th Century Brass Door Porter, Door Stop. The door porter with a pine cone and leaf handle, above the rounded reeded shank, finished with a rounded and leaf decorated socle joining the base, in the form of a resting griffin. The griffin lying on a leaf decorated tablet, above the 'D' shaped flat platform base. The rear with conforming lead loading. With a lovely patination and interesting subject. Date c 1830.
