A Large Pair of Early 19th Century Bronze Tazza Vases. Each vase with a pair of scrolling vine leaf handles, from which emerge classical serpents. The rims with beaded tops and stiff leaf edges, above the concave sides, within fluted cups, tapering to a stem of rising and falling leaves. The foot with a rounded reeded edge, resting on square sienna marble plinths, with a bronze cap mould, and folding leaf collar to the stepped base. Date circa 1820. Height 15 inches, 39cm. Width 12 1/2 inches, 32cm. Depth 9 inches, 23cm.
