PAIR OF 18TH C BRASS CANDLESTICKS

A Pair of 18th Century Brass Candlesticks. The dished drip pans above the vase shaped candle holders, with a ringed socle, resting on octagonal stems, tapering inward and downward to a knop, and socle, thence spreading in a concave, to the bases with rounded flute corners, flanking re-entrant sides. Date c 1750. Height 8 inches, 20cm. Diameter 3 1/2 inches, 9cm.
