A Pair of 18th Century Bronze Rococo Candlesticks. The enfolding leaves surrounding the candle holders, above twisting baluster stems, decorated with shells, around which leaves sweep. The bases decorated as a continuation of the sweeping leaves, resting on scalloped plinths, over which the leaves spill. Very well cast and chased, with fine detail and a good dark patination. Date c 1740. Height 9 1/2 inches, width 5 1/2 inches, depth 5 1/2 inches.Ref: 20796
