A Pair of Door Porters, Door Stops. Each brass door porter with an arcaded loop handle, with outward scrolled ears, meeting the rounded top shank, spreading outward to a waisted collar, and thence the orb shaped body, the body resting on a concave socle, and thence the outward and downward spreading foot, with a flat vertical edge. The rear of each loaded, the loading impressed 'WT & S' for William Tonks & Son, with their star burst mark, and a reference number 'J5757'. Date c 1880. Height 11 1/2 inches, width 4 1/2 inches, depth 2 1/2 inches.Ref: 21187
