A Pair of 19th Century Tole Chestnut Vases. Each vase with a finial topped cover, the spired covers sweeping to the rim. The covers fitting over the classical vase shaped bodies, the bodies above stems spreading outward and downward to a stepped rim. The bodies and covers decorated with a profusion of flowers and leaves, between pair of lions mask ring handles. Date c 1850. Height 12 1/2 inches, 32cm. Width 6 inches, 16cm.
