A Pair of Early 19th Century Candlesticks. The pair of ormolu and bronze candlesticks, each with a lift out drip pan, decorated with a rim of wild flowers, and fitting within the classical vase shaped candle holders with rope twist banding. The candle holders resting on radiating reed collars, supported by eagle monopodia, standing on a re-entrant sided stepped triangular plinth. Date circa 1820. Height 7 inches, 18cm.
