A 19th Century Brass Lantern. With a leaf cast, and reeded boss, from which sweep scrolled arms, falling to meet acanthus and scrolled corner brackets, over the hexagonal body. The brass frame holding panels of bevelled glass, one panel opening as a door with a hand latch. The base of the frame holding a bevelled circular drip plate, and each corner finished to the underside with a rounded and ringed finial. Height 26 inches, 66cm. Width 16 inches, 41cm. Depth 16 inches, 41cm. Date circa 1880.Ref: 23648
