19th Century Lamp Base. The early 19th century Canton Famille Rose vase decorated with panels of ladies socialising in tea houses, with other panels depicting birds, butterflies and insects amongst flowers and trees. The panels within scrolled leaf, and butterfly festooned borders. The vase with a pair of Phoo Dog and ring side handles. The whole on a good ormolu base. The ivy leaf ring collar, above a square base, with re-entrant corners, fluted and reeded, between arcaded sides. The lamp rewired and ready for use. Date c 1830. Height 14 1/4 inches, width 5 1/2 inches, depth 5 1/2 inches.Ref: 20655
