A pair of 18th Century, silver plated candlesticks. The pair of George III, silver plated candle sticks, each with a lift out drip pan, decorated to the scalloped rims with oval beading. The drip pans fitting within palm leaf layered vase shaped candle holders, resting on clustered columns gathered horizontal collars. The clustered columns spreading onto square plinths, decorated with oval beading, the bases spreading in a concave profile to the foot, the bases decorated with raised relief with flowers and foliage, within hare bell swags. The corners finished with overlapping leaves. The bases with enclosed undersides, and makers marks. Proper seamed late 18thC construction. Height: 12 1/2", 32cm. Width: 5", 13cm.
