A 19th Century Cast Iron Torchere, Lamp Base. The circular top with a
rounded edge, above a stiff leaf collar, and vase shaped socle, decorated in
relief with classical anthemion and scroll work. The fluted tapering column
spreading to a leaf and vase bottom. The colomn supported by impressive lion
legs, with scroll and leaf embellishment. The legs running to lions paws,
resting on round pads and the legs separated by well cast pierced
anthemion.
