A George III Mahogany Candle Stand. The circular top with a shaped raised mould edge, rising and falling to adjust candle height, on a circular shank, held with an oval tightening grip. The column within which the shank moves is ring and baluster turned, and rests on a circular base, with good ring and ogee shaping. The underside lead loaded and baized. In good working condition throughout. Date c 1780. Height down 6 1/4 inches, height raised 9 1/2 inches, diameter 6 inchesRef:
