A Pair of 18th Century Ormolu Candlesticks. Each with a lift out drip pan, the rims decorated with flowing leaves, and fitting within the scrolling and spread leaf candle holders. The stems with Rococo decoration of flowers and leaves, amongst rising stems, emerging from the reeded and scrolling lower stems, above the flowing circular bases, decorated with flowing leaves, between the turning leaf feet. The whole with very good smooth gilt, against chasing. Date circa 1770. Height 7 1/2 inches, 19cm. Width 5 inches, 13cm. Depth 5 inches, 13cm.Ref: 22894
