A George III Mahogany Stick Barometer by Pattrick, London. The 18th century stick barometer with an architectural pediment flanking an orb finial, above the glazed door, opening to the silvered dial. The dial with weather indications and a secondary cursor slide. The exposed tube set against the body laid with herring bone veneers. The cistern cover with a bulls eye paterae centre. The outer edges of the barometer, the door, and the centre of the cistern coverall inlaid with chequered 'barbers pole' inlaid stringing. All complete and in good working order. Date c 1780. Height 38 inches, 91cm. Width 5 inches, 13cm. Depth 2 inches, 5cm.
