A 19th Century oak stick barometer, the floral-carved pediment and brackets surrounding the bevelled glass, enclosing the tube and graduated engraved dials, with adjustable cursors, the dials left for "AM Yesterday" and the right, "AM Today". The dial titled, Parkes & Son, Birmingham. The case with two adjusting knobs for the dial cursors, a floral-mounted thermometer within a glass casing, and a good floral and cartouche-carved cistern bottom.
