An Early 19th Century Stick Barometer by Smith of Bath. The rounded top with a silvered and engraved dial, the dial with a sliding cursor, and weather indication. The top of the arch engraved 'SMITH, BATH'. The exposed tube running between feather veneered mahogany, finished throughout to the edges with ebony stringing, and the rounded bottom with an orb cistern cover. Date c 1820. Height 35 1/2 inches, width 4 inches, depth 3 inches.
