A Late 17th Century Salt Glaze Bellarmine Jar. The ringed rim above a tall neck, decorated with a mask of a bearded man. The neck broadening to the rounded body, the body with an impressed panel, decorated as flowers spreading from a lattice work centre. The body tapering to the circular foot. The bellarmine mounted with a rounded handle and the whole salt glazed. Date c 1700 Height 8 1/2 inches, width 5 inches, depth 5 inches.Ref: 20842
