An 18th Century Delft apothecary jar, the out-swept rim waisted then tapering outward to a barrel-shaped body, thence tapering into a ring socle, and spreading circular foot. The body titled " U Rosatum" within an attractive reserve of scrolled edging, topped by a basket of fruits, flanked by a pair of peacocks, and the lower edge of the reserve centred by a winged cherub between flower swags.


H 5 3/4 inches; diameter 4 inches.
