An 18th Century Delft apothecary jar, the outward swept rim above a narrowed neck and barrel-shaped body, tapered at the bottom to a socle, and downward swept spreading circular foot. The body, painted with a scrolled edge reserve, topped by peacocks flanking a vase of fruits. The reserve untitled. The lower edge of the reserve, painted with a winged cherub mask, flanked by floral swags.
Height 7 3/4 inches; diameter 4 1/2 inches.
