An 18th Century Delft Charger.
The sloping rim and slightly dish surround painted with scrolled leafy flowers, grounding towards the centre, alternating with bulbs beginning to bloom. The centre of the charger painted with a radiating flower head, surrounded by petals and leaves. The rear with a small foot rim and 'X' makers mark.
A particularly vibrant pattern, a virtual identical example in the Bloomfield Moor Collection in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Date c 1730.
