18TH C DELFT CHARGER

An 18th Century Delft Charger. The broad sloping rim painted with tree stumps, from which flowers and leaves grow, around which butterflies flit. The centre of the charger painted with a scene of a tea house, standing within an extravagant garden, with a butterfly hovering above the flowers. The rear of the rim decorated with dash and bulb pattern, surrounding the foot rim. Date c 1730.
