An 18th Century Delft Charger. The charger with a line banded rim, enclosing scrolled volutes, surrounding blooming flowers with further flowers and leaves to the body of the rim. The centre of the charger decorated with a scrolling flower adorned border, filled with a scene of a figure seated beside a fence, and a lake, as they hold up a vase from which emerges an exotic miniature tree. The rear of the charger with a small raised foot rim. Date circa 1740. Height 1 3/4 inches, 4.5cm. Diameter 13 1/2 inches, 34cm.Ref: 23816
