An 18th Century Delft Jar with Cover. The Brass cover topped by an acorn finial, over the bell shaped and ringed body, the cover fitting within the rounded rim of the jar. The ovoid body of the jar tapering to the foot. The slightly inward curved base with a makers mark 'P' for Jan Pennis. The body with an attractive reserve of hops and flowers, emerging from the scrolled and leaf framing the centre title 'NO 8'. Date circa 1780. Height 17 inches, 43cm.
