18TH C DELFT POLYCHROME CHARGER

An 18th Century Delft Polychrome Charger. The charger with sloping rim decorated with alternating reserves, filled with blooming flowers. The centre of the charger painted with insects filling around and scrolling leaf border, enclosing an Oriental basket filled with vegetables and ferns, above a sprig of leaves. The rear with a small raised foot rim. Height 1 3/4 inches, 4.5cm. Diameter 12 inches, 31cm. Date circa 1740
