An 18th Century Delft Apothecary Jar.

The orb shaped body mounted with a spout, with ring base and a shaped handle, the body tapering to a short stem, and spreading circular foot.  The body with a reserve with scrolled edges, topped by a pair of peacocks, flanking a basket of pears and grapes.  The reserve titled ‘S DE STECHADE’.  The lower edge of the reserve with a winged cherub mask, flanked by swags of grapes and pears. 


Height 10 inches, width 9 inches, diameter 6 ½ inches.
