An 18th Century Delft Tobacco Jar.

The brass lid with a cone finial, above the concave outward tapering sides, running to the rim.  The inner edges fitting within the raised collar of the baluster shaped jar, which tapers to a round foot.  The body painted with well defined trailing flower and bloom reserve, the centre titled 'Tabac de St Vincent'.

Date c 1750.

Height 13 1/4 inches, diameter 8 inches.
