An 18th Century Delft Vase. The octagonal raised collar above the octagonal orb shaped body, which tapers to a waist, and thence spreads in flat panels to the foot. The collar and shoulders of the vase decorated with scrolled flowers and leaves, above a scene painted in the oriental style depicting China men and ladies, in a garden filled with trees and flowers, beyond which an arched bridge, and tea houses can be glimpsed. The lower body painted with hanging leaves. The underside with makers mark. Date c 1720. Height 7 inches, diameter 5 1/2 inches.Ref: 20617
