An 18th Century Delft Vase.
The octagonal body with a raised rim, above the rounded shoulders, which taper inward toward a tall, and slightly spreading foot.
The vase painted in manganese and blue,
depicting a scene of a China man, taking shade under a parasole, as he sits on a river bank, surrounded by a rocky landscape, from which grow trees and flowers.
The scene bordered by scrolling decoration to the rim, and band of hanging leaves to the lower body.
Circa 1730
